Model aircraft

Circa 1938, GERMANY : Three boys with GLIDERS TOY model planes play on a meadow. In the 1930s it was customary to play with model planes, almost always made of paper and wood by the boys themselves, some of whom later became real aviators for the Luftwaffe (the Nazi German air force) at whose school they learned to fly a plane on real gliders. This gave rise to a role and some scenes in the German TV serial HEIMAT ( 1984 - 2004 ) by Edgar Reitz, set in Hunsrück ( Rhineland-Palatinate ) from 1918 to 2000. Unknown photographer.
